Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex, chronic neurological disease that impacts each person differently. Due to the myriad of symptoms that affect sensory, motor, cognition, and psychosocial issues, many people with MS have a team of healthcare providers to help them manage the effects of this chronic disease. These professionals can include physicians, nurses, psychologists, and therapists (speech, physical, occupational, and rehabilitation). Content developed for this section is intended to provide information to any professional who cares for a person with MS and may have the opportunity to work with that individual in an aquatic exercise setting.
